Where is the Hintertux ski resort?
The Hintertux ski resort is located in the Zillertal, a side valley of the Inn Valley in Tyrol. The village of Hintertux is situated at an altitude of about 1,500 metres, while the ski resort extends up to 3,250 metres. The nearest major cities are Innsbruck (about 1.5 hours' drive) and Mayrhofen, which is about half an hour away from Hintertux. From Mayrhofen, a road leads directly to Hintertux and the Hintertux Glacier, which is located at the end of the Tux Valley.
