Freeriders can let off steam on three varied routes. The cool "Absolut Funpark" in Flachauwinkl and Kleinarl is a mecca for freestylers and snowboarders, which is just the right terrain for freestyle artists with challenging obstacles. There is a state-of-the-art training centre at the Kogelalm. If you book in advance, you can use the training tracks free of charge.

Over 42 km of snowshoe hiking trails alone offer enough activity for several days. The varied tours with different levels of difficulty invite both beginners and advanced hikers to enjoy the untouched nature. Guided hikes are also offered weekly.

If you are experienced with horses, you can book a ride through the snowy winter landscape at the local riding school. An alternative is a ride on a horse-drawn sleigh. If you prefer to walk, you can go on a winter hike on your own. After all, there are around 47 km of prepared hiking trails available here.

After all the activities, we definitely recommend a snack in one of the rustic ski huts. The Gamskogelhütte is located at 1,900 m above sea level and offers a fabulous view of the surrounding peaks. You can also enjoy the sun at the Rosskopfhütte while tasting the homemade cheese dumplings or watching the show cooking on the lava grill.
